We asked Guilherme Beneti, Tech Talent at Invillia, to tell in 3 photos and a story, what connects his day. Showing in practice what it is like to work in our flexible and distributed model, but always close. Routine, interactions, work-life balance. The result is a testimony about how all the experiences, from the simplest to the most unusual, bring inspiration, energy, creativity, learnings that go beyond the day-to-day.

First, the presentations ?
My name is Guilherme, I’m 30 years old, I’ve been working in the technology area for about 7 years and in my spare time, I’m an aspiring writer. Some time ago I wrote and published a book entitled “The Art of Washing Dishes”, which relates in some analogies between washing dishes and living lessons and learnings that we can transfer from a simple activity to our own lives and to what we do with it.
What do writing and programming have in common?
Well, much more than you think. In fact, not only writing books, but I can see correlations and even similarities with my professional side in many things that I do on a daily basis and even in my own life.
Technology is increasingly present in our lives, that is a fact! However, when we work with innovation, as a team, and even with a certain level of discipline when working from anywhere, for example, we can make this whole experience a “two-way street”. Where we act and implement routines, learnings and methods on both sides: personal and professional.
Writing a book requires creativity, effort and dedication, and the same goes for developing projects, working as a team, executing tasks on a certain time, feeling the same pain and ambition as our client, and so many other things. So what you use in your professional and personal life, sometimes tends to share the same thing.
Day by day
In my daily life, I love to put into practice many things that I use in my professional life to my personal life, and vice versa. From inspiration, energy and focus on maintaining a training routine very early in the gym, to working connected at Instation, and whenever possible cycling or swimming after hours.
Just like the analogies about washing dishes in my book, I have and bring with me analogies pertinent to practically all activities that I do. And I often make it possible for them to interact with what I do in my day, whether it’s physical exercise, work, or writing.
