We asked Felipe Casseb, Developer at Invillia, to tell in three photos and a story, what connects his day. From breakfast to computer shut-down. Showing in practice what it is like to work in our distributed model, but always close. The result is an incredible testimony of how he automated, created routines, innovated in his setup, and invented apparatus to enrich his day and engagement with colleagues. A truly magical space. Casseb was born to work from home ? And to teach and learn in the most efficient and unusual way possible.

Nice to e-meet you 😉
If I could summarize, in a single word, what directs my actions by the current temporal displacement, this word would be: Didactic.
I’m very pleased to e-meet you, my name is Casseb, I’m 29 years old, I live in São José dos Campos in the state of São Paulo, and I’m a Developer at Invillia.
Do not worry about the unknown terms used in this article, the proposal is to make our chat more informal, formalizing the words (I use them daily for humorous purposes).
Passion for didactic
One day at college, a colleague approached me with a very complex question, without caring about the dozens of other students waiting for conductions, I pulled out of my backpack a slate and a pen to cure his longing. Obviously, everyone thought I was crazy, and in a way they were right, but it was there that began my passion for tools that facilitate knowledge sharing.
I believe that the quality of education is directly proportional to the quality of the tools. Invillia is a pioneer here with InStation, guaranteeing employees’ union with mastery…
Magical setup
… Thinking about it, I have been continuously evolving my residential corporate environment.
Investing in an HD-quality webcam and a condenser microphone for videoconference, easy access to an express coffee maker, a whiteboard to sketch what is in my mind, and a luminaire with a remote-controlled lamp that I use to signal my availability: green for available and red for busy.
The main differential of this setup is on my Slikdesk table, with which I can choose to work sitting or standing! It is excellent to participate in meetings, being able to gesture and walk freely in front of the camera.
There is nothing more rewarding than, after hours of planning with the slate completely filled, enter InStation, release my infamous “Gentlemen!” close to the microphone, and start explaining what was found while moving freely through my professional space!
The routine, the work-life balance
I start my activities at 9 am, with coffee and an anime episode properly tasted.
While I do my quota for the day, I watch my wife and son doing their respective morning and afternoon activities.
Advantage possible only in a connected-work. After the proposed schedule has ended, I go out and buy some more items for the office.
With all this arsenal of tools, I feel complete. Thanks to the Invillia work model, I can use the best tools continuing what I started in college, teaching and learning in the most efficient and unusual way possible!
