We asked Diana Santos to tell in 3 photos and a story, what connects her day. From breakfast to computer shut-down. Showing in practice what it is like to work in our flexible and distributed model, but always close. Routine, interactions, work-life balance. The result is an inspiring testimony about how she uses her time to dedicate herself to two great passions: taking care of people, as an HR Partner, and taking care of the four-legged friends, who even rescues from the street_

Pleasure, I’m Di 🙂
Hi, my name is Diana, better known as Di. I prefer it that way because if I hear “Diana” I already remember my father’s voice when I had done something wrong! I’m from Greater São Paulo, I live in the city of Carapicuíba, in the neighborhood of Cohab 2. Here in this neighborhood there are only chic residents.
I love music and dancing, I’m from the time of steps at dances (I doubt you’ve never tried to follow those steps). Music and dancing take me to many places… And I just go! Note: those who know me know that they can read this text with a smile ?.
In addition to the information above, I’m the one who takes care of you and your experience, remember? I’m from the People Partner area and what motivates me the most is knowing that you have someone to listen to you, I really appreciate that here at Invillia. I work with a team that shares knowledge and only adds value, and how much we’ve transformed around here, we know and we’re proud! I believe in people’s evolution and development, it’s very good to somehow transform people’s lives and experiences.
My daily life with them
I am a woman in love with life, animals, family and friends. There was a time in my life when I didn’t believe I could have what I have today and go light and easy, but that saying “You never know how strong you are until being strong becomes your only option” worked with me!
My family is amazing! My husband: buys new blouses for me to wear on the dailys. My son: human being with a sincerity that frightens. And when I say it scares me, it’s at the level of saying: “Mom, you’re getting fat, you need to go to the gym!”. In these cases, I just give that look of a mother (that look of Rochelle, from the series Everybody hates Cris, you know?). Ah, my family also has 2 dogs, my best and truest friends.
Do what makes you happy and with who makes you even better (Dudu and Mel)
I was raised with dogs and how much better it made me, only I feel and know! I have always been the one who had some feed in a bag and a small bottle of water along with a small pot.
Petting and feeding dogs on the streets have always done me good because I understand that homeless animals need help. They feel cold, hungry, thirsty and know how to defend themselves from those who mistreat them or at least try. As a good friend, I also talk to them. Craziness? Not at all! It’s connection! Do you know that look of gratitude? Well, animals also demonstrate, maybe even more than we humans. That look is what makes me talk to them and understand everything they want.
I also rescue them from the streets, take them to the vet and even put on clothes. After all, Cohab’s dog has to be well-groomed lol.
Taking advantage of the practice of responsible adoption, I had the wealth of adopting two puppies. Dudu, the 3-year-old destroyer and Mel, a 1-year-old candy. Both are a mixture of races, that is, the famous “mongrel dog”. Dudu is more serious, without giggles, he is one of those who eats and still wants to clean his mouth, covers himself when he goes to bed and likes coffee with milk (yes, he is a dog!). Mel is a stickler, likes the street to run to the corner and back, she lives taking someone’s slipper to sleep on, for her the game is all day long!
The mornings
Every day, before connecting to Instation, I take my dogs for a walk and, believe me, there are others (those from the street) waiting for them and me. They play with Dudu and Mel, and enjoy the feed and water I bring, of course! Mornings are good, often fun because I like to see them rolling around. I’m looking and already imagining the dialogue between them: “hey bro, he woke up early today huh” and the other responds “yeah, my mother works at home and every day is like that, but I have my benefits with her there”. I know, talking about “mother of a pet” is complicated. But the cool thing about all this is being able to dedicate to something that makes you feel good, and more: that makes you an even better person! When Dudu “says” that we have benefits, he’s not kidding. Lunchtime is with the family, snacks at all times, 3x a day tour with a lot of affection involved. Yes, it’s precisely the connected work that enables this!
I am a mother, wife, friend, professional and a little more. Get to know who you are and live with the best of it. Animals make me know myself even more and bring empathy, joy and all good energy. Okay, once in a while you have to growl to have a stir in your life. I believe I make a difference with this and I am happy with the connection I have with them.
